 Map showing general location of New Strawn, KS New Strawn is located on Highway 75 in southeastern Kansas. It is situated 60 miles south of Topeka, 11 miles south of Interstate 35; about 110 miles southwest of Kansas City, Missouri and 40 miles southeast of Emporia, Kansas.

John Redmond Reservoir and Coffey County Fishing Lake are within minutes of New Strawn.
