Community Center
The New Strawn Community Center is located at the south end of the city. The center is available for rent and is an excellent location for parties, wedding receptions, reunions, fund raisers, auctions and business gatherings. Many of New Strawn's community events are held at the Community Center.
It includes the main hall which can accommodate up to 000 people, a conference room, and kitchen facilities as well as tables and chairs. A signed rental agreement and deposit are required to rent the Community Center. Please call for availability (620.364.8283) then print and submit your signed rental agreement and rules and regulations form, along with your fees and deposits to City Hall during business hours.

General Rules
- Hall and kitchen must be left in clean condition. After checklist is gone over by a board member, the deposit will be returned.
- Tables and chairs are to be returned to original setup.
- Trash and garbage are to be put in available containers.
- No smoking or tobacco chewing is allowed inside the building.
- No gambling.
- No roller skating allowed.
- No material or merchandise (e.g., auctions) may remain inside or outside on the premises after designated period of rental.
- Alcohol: There is no alcohol permitted in or on the premises without a special permit. Renter violating this rule will loose deposit and be required to vacate the premises immediately.
- When hanging decorations from the ceiling, hang ONLY from existing ceiling hooks.
- DO NOT tamper with building structure (lights, sign, fans, cabinets, etc.)

Rental Rates
Main Building Only (Non-Auction/Wedding)
- First four hours (1 hour set-up): $50
- Per hour after first four hours: $5
Conference Room Only (Non-Auction/Wedding)
- First four hours (1 hour set-up): $30
- Per hour after first four hours: $5
Both Rooms (Non-Auction/Wedding)
- First four hours (1 hour set-up): $65
- Per hour after first four hours: $5
Auctions & Weddings
- 2-day Use: $150
- Additional Day: $50

Deposits
- 10 & Under B-day/Conference Only; Conference Room Party: $25
- Damage Deposit for parties w/alcohol and Auctions: $200
- All other use damage deposit: $100
Fees and deposits are payable to: NSCIO.
Two (2) separate checks are required: one for the fees and one for the deposit.
